Rev. Michael Miller

It is remarkable to see the Lord’s fingerprints here on Lakeview and I am honored to serve as your Lead Pastor with such an amazing ministry team.

I am passionate about leading people to Christ and seeing the Holy Spirit work in people’s lives. Everywhere I go I am looking for divine appointments where God is connecting the dots. There’s nothing like it for me. A vibrant part of my life is spending time with my family, Angela, my awesome wife of over 22 years, Micah, Gabe, Anna Grace and Jude, our four teenage children. I also enjoy the outdoor life (hunting, fishing, hiking…you name it).

I grew up in Tuscaloosa and began in the ministry in 1989 in Hawaii with Youth with a Mission. My time in Bible College in Hawaii would be a base for further mission work in Asia. I served in the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Africa, and Central America in a wide range of ministry settings (church planting, community development, teaching English, etc.). I received my graduate and undergraduate degrees with honors from the University of Alabama and my Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Seminary in Kentucky where I am currently in doctoral studies. Before entering fulltime ministry, I worked as a medical social worker in the neonatal intensive care unit at DCH Regional Medical Center, Hospice and the VA in Tuscaloosa. I also conducted research for the National Institute of Aging and Alabama Bureau of Geriatric Psychiatry. I wholeheartedly believe the Lord calls each of us to be lifelong disciples and students and I am excited about the opportunity to grow with you!
